Hello,
i am trying to reduce the Poly size of a model and i have a problem. After i reduce the size of the Poly with the Optimize Tool, some polys get deleted and you cant see them anymore. Here is a picture to show my problem.

can anyone help me with this issue? Thanks
Problem with Polys after Optimizing
Re: Problem with Polys after Optimizing
may you show a wireframe before/after too?
also, what is the size of this object? reset axes scale to 1,1,1 with display\local axes\"reset to world" tool. and resize the object so it is at least 1.0 in height/width. Optimize can delete a lot of polygons if it considers an object to be very small. also, it can delete thin polygons, so initial geometry topology is very important.
in general, the "optimize" tool should not be used for mesh optimization at all. consider using optimization tools in other 3d packages if possible (e.g. in 3dsmax or in blender). the optimization tool in zmodeler can be used to create a far distance LOD meshes where quality of optimization and artifacts are insignificant.

Re: Problem with Polys after Optimizing
Hey, i already did that but unfortunately i solved this issue.
I imported the car into Blender and tried to reduce the Polys with the Decimate Tool but it didnt work because after optimizing with the Un-Subdivide, it deleted many Polys like in zmodeler3.
After that i found a solution in Blender. You have to get into Edit Mode click on Mesh -> Normals -> Restore Vertices. Then get back to Object Mode and use the Decimate Tool. After doing that, you can Reduce the Polys very nicely.
After reducing, the Mesh had squares and didnt look smooth.
To solve this, right click into the object and select Smooth by angle. The object should look fine then and with lower Polys.
Then, export the car and import into Zmodeler3.
Did the steps again like you said and calculated the vertices. After that everything was normal. Hope this will help some others
