Model brake after integration

Post by 123 »

Hi everyone! Recently I faced a weird issue. When I had been editing a custom car engine in ZModeler 2.2.6 (992) and finally attached it to the transmission, the obtained node turned out to be broken! I mean some parts (and vertices) of it became missing, other vertices just stuck down to another ones. Does anybody know what caused this. Is it because that engine was made in 3ds max and after importing into ZModeler become to work improperly?
Will be very appreciative for answers!

here`s the image

Importing models made in 3ds max could be a problem, so could you explain which format you use to exchange models between max and Zmod?

Maybe I didn`t specify I downloaded already fully completed tuned car with a custom engine which I adjusted for my mods. So I use ready-made dff files. What do you think, can that problem be solved?

So you modding for GTA, right? Then I know exactlly the problem, as I am modding for GTA to and have experienced the same problem. Models exported with old scripts like Kams or or Deniskas ones are in genral not Zmodeler compatible.
The only solution I know is to import the dff files to max and reexport them with a proper exporter.
