Anims model scales after export

Post by LeynerN31 »

Ok, I'm very new to animations... BUT
Basically I have the following problem.
I know how to animate inside zmodeler
when exporting the animation (the pmd)
in zmodelr everything is fine, instead
in the game the animation is like it changes the size
becomes extremely large and you can't see anything
I tried to do the test of just importing the anim and exporting it without modifying anything and it also presents the same problem.
I don't know if it's an option when importing.

Is this an original game model or a mod you've downloaded?

It happens to me in both cases, I noticed that when exporting the "_root_" is renamed, leaving it empty, that is, the name _root_ is lost

ZModeler can mess the scale on axes of hierarchy, so if model is actually scaled with some node in hierarchy using non-uniform scale, this could be a problem I guess.

Also, if I'm not mistaken, you can't apply transform (scale, rotation) to the root node (the "__root__" one), it should has its axes reset to world: position, rotation, scale. I've seen game models injecting a "super_root" node under it with scale settings to be applied to the rest of hierarchy (children of "super_root").

Well I've tried all of that, to no avail.
I only have success using the merge models option enabled.

Ok, getting an animation edit to work for me. strangely the game doesn't throw any errors with animations with this *composition* so to speak.

On the contrary, it gives an error to delete the name of the root when the composition of the anim is the following:
