Issue with an object when UV mapping

Post by Tharn »

So I managed to figure out how to do the uv mapping in zmodeler3 as shown in that video with zmodeler1 and I successfully mapped kit01 to 03 with minor issues (some objects randomly being detached from others that I had to put where they should be) and moved on to kit00 which has the most amount of objects to map but the uv mapping looks like this and if disable hood a and hood b, it looks normal, like the other mappings did. any idea why these hood LODs look like this in uv mapping but c and d look fine? how do I fix this so I can do the mapping with all objects?

looks like hood_a and hood_d were uv-mapped onto entire texture and most likely they use unique texture with airbrush painting. You can edit their uv-mapping and put them onto "hood area" like the rest of hoods. You can scale, move, rotate objects in UV mapper, so they occupy proper area of texture (and associated mesh object will stretch this texture with respect to given uv-mapping).
