GTA5 / zmodeler3 import, export issue?

Post by vytka1337 »

I've just made a some text in blender, converted that text to a mesh, exported as .obj, imported into zmodeler 3, made it a L0 compound, set it the default material, exported as .ydr and it works fine in game, however if I try to import it into zmodeller again, the mesh is gone / non existant.

Also trying to convert that .ydr into a .odr gives me an error "Skinning data is present in vertex buffer, but bone mapping does not exist."

It is advised to avoid using Default Material. Each material your geometry use have to be converted to GTA-compatible with proper "Adapt" entry set.

Your exported model might got skeletal/rigging information while you don't need it. Toggle off "Skeletal" option in export window and export again.

when you re-import your model, it is converted to compound (LODs model) and not shown by default. You have to press L0, L1, L2 and like these buttons on "Structure" tab above hierarchy window. Most likely geometry is on L0 level of detail.
