Re: Zmodler under Linux
It *might* be possible to run ZM3 under Wine/Proton but I'm pretty sure it will be very unstable and not worth it. At least I can start it, but it crashes here and there. Also it's stuck requesting trial, so unusable overall. Blender is good too! Maybe give it a try, unless you want ZM filters, for ...

Re: ZModeler3 suggestions/wishes
I've parsed mafia 2 files pretty deep and faced to some complex stuff that I was not about to pass-through. Yes, it would be possible to load geometry, but geometry rippers as well as ripped models are already available. I was not going to make an import-only plugin for no actual usage. The PSSG co...

Re: ZModeler3 suggestions/wishes
What about Mafia 2? Is it completely abandoned? There's still a community around it, but everything is about scripting. And the unofficial multiplayer prevented the game from dying. I'd like to remind you of PSSG format which belongs to Codemasters' EGO Engine . There are a few tools out there, the ...

Re: ZModeler2 license price lowered to $22 USD
Did you know that there are 216 Blender Users Groups all over the world, each meeting at least once a month to show and tell what they're doing with Blender the 3D application. Check out http://www.meetup.com/Blender/ The problem is that ZM is a very specific game-oriented product. Game research is...

Re: ZModeler2 license price lowered to $22 USD
Perhaps you could reconsider your marketing plan for this product. Why limit your users to rich folks when there are thousands out there who are just as talented or could be within a short time? Consider the free 3D application Blender, which is open source, and available to everyone, and now is cu...

Re: ZModeler v2.2.6 (08 November 2011)
Debug build? I supply only release builds that are no way affected by debug libraries of MFC/ATL or anything else.. here I speak of SDK which contains Debug version of ZM2 with no filters. Its convenient to debug filters when writing them. The same story could be with Release builds requiring speci...

Re: ZModeler v2.2.6 (08 November 2011)
Yes, I got it working! Firstly installed VS2005 and SP1 for it. Then downloaded this security update and Debug build started to work. Directories required (and appeared after ATl update) in WINDOWS/WinSxS are: x86_Microsoft.VC80.DebugMFC_1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b_8.0.50727.4053_x-ww_a0fb332d x86_Microsoft.VC...

Re: ZModeler v2.2.6 (08 November 2011)
As I'm trying to make SDK's ZM2 Debug build working I've found a great tool that can help you find missing libraries. http://weblogs.asp.net/kennykerr/archive/2007/07/10/manifest-view-1-0.aspx Run it and open Zmodeler2.exe in it and it will show which Side-by-side assemblies are needed and their ver...

yes. no filters will be made for zmod2 anymore. And updating the filters zmod 2 already has? For example if ETS2 comes soon and Zm3 is too far from release will you make necessary updates to the zm2's 18wos filter? i.e. will you maintain zm2 filters updated until zm3 is released? I assume Zm3 will ...
