Re: Ambient occlusion question
Yes, it appears that some old object is causing the issue. I have moved the geometry in question away from the rest and its a bit better, not perfect. Exact AO problem happens in blender as well. Mind if I ask what specifically may be the cause? Just generally what to look for - I really would not w...

Re: Ambient occlusion question
I'm losing my marbles. I need some help. The ones marked dark blue are mode from cylinder object in Zmodeler and still when smooth normals applied its AO looks like this. With jagged lines. Light blue are the same problem but not made from Zmodeler origin. Orange and light blue parts are made with C...

Re: Ambient occlusion question
Hi again. If I may continue this topic. I made chamfers on cylindrical body: polygon mode -> slicing tool (adding the splitting line) -> center the pivot -> scale in appropriate views and directions -> calculate normals (C) -> smooth vertices And the cylinder still looks jagged both in Zmodeler3 and...

Custom temporary coordinate system to drag along
Hi Oleg, A quick question. Any way in Zmodeler to tilt the coordinate system? To be able to drag/move/scale/... vertices/object along the normals or a custom coordinate system? If it is no such feature yet could this be added perhaps? Or what workflow would you suggest when handling objects under an...

Re: Can't select stuff
Hi, may I use this topic for my question. I can't select vertices in 3d window like its seen in this video: https://youtu.be/6l3G55ufr2c?t=755 How can one select vertices in 3d window? I can only select in 2d and I can't find any information online. Not sure I'm asking the right question. Any specif...

Re: Ambient occlusion question
Hi Oleg,
One question.
Is there any chance to render AO with the GPU in ZModeler3 instead of CPU?
I tried that in Blender and it take a few seconds compared to CPU rendering. Blender native Cycles - Bake, or TEXtool.

looks like inverted, flipped mesh of the part
Make sure to uncheck all the boxes when mirroring / rotating the geometry. (upper right corner of icon)
This would be my 2 cents. Had similar issue on mirror.

Re: Is it possible to export multiple pmd?
I've played around today and if I want to generate the *.pmg(s) I have to export only *.pmd(s) first, then export the same *.pmd(s) again and overwrite the existing files, and when *.bak(s) are generated the *.pmg(s) get generated too. I found *.pmg(s) in: ....root/vehicle/lowloader OR ..../root, bu...

Re: Is it possible to export multiple pmd?
LMAO, found the *.pmg files in the root folder today morning?? Hmm. didn't see it yesterday, was tunnel visioned.
Was totally expecting to be in one folder together with the *.pmd. maybe a bug?

Re: Is it possible to export multiple pmd?
HI, would need help. I try multiple export and I get an error when I try RE-import. Geometry mode file '' '' not found - missing *.pmg in the folder.? Its like files are exported empty with no structure under. Why is that so? Export settings: https://i.ibb.co/khGdWQ1/Multiple-Export-1.png How RE-imp...

Re: 1.50 Broken materials
You are 100% correct Reinhard. I have slacked on tobj's and some textures and hence the broken mods upon 1.50 release. I guess I'll stick to including everything into the mod from now on. In fact as you say its mandatory now. With regards to errors: Maybe they haven't programmed that into the check ...

Re: 1.50 Broken materials
Any idea why I have no errors visible in the game.log.text and console 1.50 (first post images). Used to be nice red / yellow color if something was missing?
I'd like to do more modding but, how am I going to resolve issues now if I no longer see warnings & errors?

Re: 1.50 Broken materials
Never mind. I found that they have moved around the normals & other textures, hence the weird effects. The 1.50 paths are different compared to 1.49 and thus textures appear missing. Adding them to the mod manually seems to fix the issue.

Re: help problem shiny object divided
OK, so i tried to make a brand new part. A small console for hydroulic lines. I mirrored the part and this is the results with mirror settings as shown. I did the mirror and pressed ''C'' (normals) and also did smooth normals. What am i doing wrong... https://i.ibb.co/TP19L9M/Mirror-object-is...

Re: help problem shiny object divided
I tried placing in solid rgb as u suggested, but then whole trailer looks cartoonish and u can still see the split line in the middle under the sun light. The normal map is ok, I believe the problem must be in the geometry, game not recognizing that its a continuous &/ mirrored. Sometimes it see...

Re: help problem shiny object divided
Happy New Year Everyone! If may I borrow the topic for a question, since the problem seem similar. There's a weird discontinuation of normal in the rear bumper upper part. I can be seen only in direct sunlight at the right angle. I tried: normals, all 4 types - no effect, I tried coloring of vertice...
