Re: Set object position

Just stating the obvious. This section of the forum is for Zanoza modeler and not 2. There are still some people out there using it. Oleg, I'd of thought you'd keep with it when somebody posts here it usually is for the original version. While I have transfered my files to Zanoza model...

Re: Couple of problems

Oleg, I was completely in limbo about compatibility with software on OS's. I thought playing Mafia would be possible on future Windows without problem, but compatibility mode is no guarantee the software will work the way it is suppose to :o I've saved all my projects in Zanoza 2, Mafia doesn't work...

I ment to say that Zanoza modeler has an installer compared to Zanoza 2, but they both have executable files to run them.

Re: Importing VC dff with Zmodeler 1 wont work

I installed it just when i made this post. I downloaded the zip and extracted all files to my pc in a folder and opend the exe. Have i missed something? Has it to do with my Windows 7? Are you using Zanoza modeler or Zanoza modeler 2? Zanoza modeler is a simple executable file? Zanoza modeler 2 is ...

Re: Importing VC dff with Zmodeler 1 wont work

Just at the end of last month, when I wanted to modify the Mr whoopee textures for Grand Theft Auto 3, I simply imported the .dff and it worked fine, same for Vice city's Ice cream van. In the end all I needed to do was just edit the TXD files. :P Sort of silly to go all around the houses of trying ...

Re: VC: How do I texture?

This is my test result. I think I'm doing it right. I just select the texture from the Material editor, and then add the bitmap, UV map. It isn't any different from just doing it the usual way

Re: GTA 3 dff and TXd files extraction request

I actually have made an order for a copy of the game, I tried to get a copy of the files via GTA forums, but nobody wanted to extract them. The game is very cheap pre-owned. One penny for anyone in the UK on Amazon UK, of course for delivery they charge £2. Cheap as fries at McDonalds.

GTA 3 dff and TXd files extraction request

If this thread isn't allowed then please close it. How ever, If anybody who has a copy of GTA 3, could you please extract the GTA 3 Mr Whoopee model, I would like to practice texturing with it. I never learnt how to texture a GTA model, I believe this may be easier than the one I had extracte...

Re: VC: How do I texture?

I just wanted to update, you have to seperate the pieces to texture the parts of the model, then unify them using chassis_hi? With the exception of the doors for example, glass.

VC: How do I texture?

Hello, I'm trying to texture a model vehicle from the vice city game, where do I begin texturing the model, and if I want to change a texture, I must extract the original files from the TXD, using a txd editor? The Hi_ok needs to be textured the same way as the damaged pieces, though the exeception ...

How long will Zanoza modeler section remain open?

Hi Oleg,

How long do you intend to keep the Zanoza modeler section on the forum opened for?

Soon enough it will have been a decade since it's last up date. :P

I'm still using it, though not intensely. That annoying texture list! :|

Thanks.

Re: ZModeler3 suggestions/wishes

It isn't a program I need right now, but for future reference I just wanted to know. Having that is a good option.

Zanoza works fine with the latest OS's out now, I'm not a longterm modeler.

Re: ZModeler3 suggestions/wishes

Will Zanoza 3 have the capability of opening a z3d file with the textures load there? Otherwise that means texturing the model created in zanoza 1. Also, will the object menu box be made much wider? When I use the program, the objects I create, I type in detail the object name and that ends up being...

Google reported this forum to be dangerous

Hello Oleg, when I selected the link in my address bar to this forum, a page loaded with a red box notifying this forum and the site had some threats. I clicked this wasn't an attack site. :? Some sort of mix up or mistake or just mess up via google. :o

Re: Texturing

Here is my progress with it. I have created and textured some pieces pieces so far, so the rest I have to do. It isn't easy to find the correct textures for models, I will say that! The images can sometimes be too bright or too dark or not the right size. If you don't own a vehicle you are le...

Re: Texturing

I see, so I have to texture it the way I thought, then I unify it, and that should be okay? So long as the bitemap file is with the z3d there shouldn't be any problems.

Re: Texturing

I have never quite known how to get a tread image looking correct on the tread section of a wheel, do you have to texture each bit seperately? Here it is, I muddle a texture with that object so it has a side image of a van on it. As you can make out we have six polygons per section, so that must be ...

Re: The texture problem in Zanoza

Just a quick recap on textured model pieces, is it fine to unite two pieces together, but they have different textures? So long as the textures are there, and they are selected it shouldn't cause a problem. This reminds me sort of like Grand theft Auto where you need to use channels to have one obje...

Re: The texture problem in Zanoza

Until that time, I'll just have to be careful and delete the list of textures not part of an existing file. I don't want to go off topic here, but I don't remember, but what is the file limit for vice city's TXD? You had to make sure that the bitemaps were a certain size. If you were to use photorea...

Re: The texture problem in Zanoza

If you create any model object, and then just merge another one those textures for that object get moved into the current file opened. Duplicate images or not.

I have to delete the entire list of names that are not a part of the existing file?

Re: ZModeler3 suggestions/wishes

I'm glad to know it will be available for XP. I'm not a long term modeler so it is a good approach for a beginner like myself. Otherwise I would be stuck with Zanoza 1 like for ever with the small projects I have made. :P

The texture problem in Zanoza

Hi there I wanted to know what is it with the texture list being moved into new files. When I imported an object into a new project the list of all these other textures are moved in?
