do you get any error in a messaging bar? the empty/invisible material sample looks like the shader failed to render at all rather than a transparency/texture issue.

P.S. hope you have not unpacked ZModeler 3.3.0 files into a folder of ZModeler 3.2.1??

absolutely not. ZModeler 3.3.0 runs on DX11 engine and incompatible with previous versions in quite a lot of aspects. This, in particular, includes shader files in "Shaders" folders where most files are updated/replaced, some files are new and some files are no longer used. Unpacking new version into an old folder will make a mix of files that can cause problems. Also, the compiled binary shaders code in .cache file from old version can cause problems too.

For this reason, ZModeler 3.3.0 is not shipped as an update - old version does not see it as "updates are available for download".

You should put ZModeler 3.3.0 into a different folder. You can copy your ZModeler_profile.xml from an old folder into the new installation to retain your preferences and settings, this is allowed step.
