Will someone please point me to tutorial(s) on how to draw chains (e.g., cargo tie-downs)?
thanks

drawing chains?

Re: drawing chains?
may be made them out of chain links? the link could be created, probably, from a torus object.

Re: drawing chains?
thanks, but I suspect a much easier method exists. Chains are ubiquitous on ATTS/ETS2 lowboy cargo; I cringe to think building them link by link is the best way. I'm hoping for a bones/skeleton method.

ohh, may be I'm not getting what chains are you talking about... are these chains animated with physics?

I would grab them from existing model, that's the easiest way I think.

Re: drawing chains?
I've tried that; it's a pain because every chain must be manipulated in 3D space, which takes forever. the ratchets and hooks on each chain are separate, so they must be 3D placed, too, which understand. I am hoping to draw a 3D path for the chain then map textures. tie-downs can also be straps (like seat belts).
