Temporarily suspend my license

Post by AUG1127 »

How do I temporarily stop using my license?
I don't expect to use zm3 for a while, and I don't want to waste the license time, so I want to temporarily stop using its license
My zm3 ID is HBLYT-B7

Hello.

There is no legal pausing method for licenses, the below should not be considered as an advise. The method below can be used on your own risk, a license time deduction could happen even on suspended/paused license.

You need to configure online access for your platform ID first and ensure your platform logs in to license server. You can see it as "Last activity" entry on your platform ID in web account on "My computers" page. Once you see it updated to "today", your computer is OK.

Then you can revoke license in web account. This will detach license from your ID but will NOT pause it. Run ZModeler on your computer and open License Information page, so ZModeler can perform online check. It should see the license revocation and confirm it by removing license. Then close ZModeler and run it again. There should be no license installed and no license being downloaded anymore. From this moment on, your license on license server will be suspended. It will not have orange :!: icon on it.

Note, license activation for the same platform ID involves extra checking of your computer activity in a period of license suspension. It might appear the newly-generated key upon re-activation will have less days than you expect.
