My Windows 10 installed the Creator Update today, and after seeing something i really wanted to check out in Zmodeler, the program startet and said i had a free 14 day trail, after activating it, my platform ID was different than prior to the windows update.

Re: New Platform ID after Windows 10 Creator Update
Hi.
You have probably updated ZModeler too, as it has a slightly modified platform identification routine, it is Ok for platform ID to get changed. In such a case, you should remove your old platform ID in account and add your new platform ID. Then you will be able to activate your paid license for this platform.
As you have already activated trial license, this platform ID will appear on your account with trial license. It is preferable to revoke trial license and install your paid license. You should specify your account name and platform password in ZModeler, so it can download and install license.

Is it right that the trial cant import and export?

Re: New Platform ID after Windows 10 Creator Update
trial is absolutely identical to paid license and can import/export as well. Also, i've pruned old accounts and old platforms/trials, so it is quite likely for users to get new trial license.

I couldnt export. lol
I moved my paid license over to my new platform without problems, so case closed, i'd say.
Thanks for your clarification Oleg, and your fast help. I really appriciate it
Best regards, Manu.

Re: New Platform ID after Windows 10 Creator Update
Uh, I finally managed to use a trial serial key after platform ID change, but I can't use my old key anymore.
Re: New Platform ID after Windows 10 Creator Update
you need to activate your old license for the new platform ID (different license key will be issued). then configure your platform ID to access account by enabling log in option and setting password for your platform in account; then specify your account name and platform password in ZModeler - it will download license that is active for a given platform currently.
Re: New Platform ID after Windows 10 Creator Update
I can't do it, because Zmodeler throws a Failed notification when i'm trying to apply old code to a new platform ID.Oleg wrote:you need to activate your old license for the new platform ID (different license key will be issued).
Re: New Platform ID after Windows 10 Creator Update
you should not try to install old "license key", as it is constrained to platform ID it was issued for. You should activate license in account for correct platform ID, so you have a license key with correct destination platform ID coded in it. ZModeler will accept license key matching its platform ID only.
