Report Import/Export bugs here
Re: Report Import/Export bugs here
you can manually re-sharpen the mesh with modify\knife tool in problematic areas; knife the chain of edges to make sharp shading on them;
...and what shaders from bikers update are in a question? if some shader definition is missing, specify the game model file location that fails to load in zm.

Re: Report Import/Export bugs here
i dont know how the new shaders are called. when i import a bike it says:
Unable to locate material adaptation for shader 0x84fb9684. file:RageMaterials.cpp line:296
i uploaded an archive with bikes from new update. check my previous posts.

Re: Report Import/Export bugs here
0xf36cfb59 is vehicle_track2; 0x84fb9684 is vehicle_track_emissive. both (and vehicle_detail also) are included in one of recent updates.
Re: Report Import/Export bugs here
Getting a 102 line error log (called ZM2_log.txt ZM2?) and an Out of Memory error trying to import a .obj file.
Here's a link to the log: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7LFvI ... sp=sharing

Re: Report Import/Export bugs here
you should attach the .obj file instead of a log.
Re: Report Import/Export bugs here
I can attach a password protected zip of the obj file and PM you the password but I am not going to attach an unprotected obj file. If that's okay, let me know.Oleg wrote:you should attach the .obj file instead of a log.
Re: Report Import/Export bugs here
Exported files doesn't show up in the folder. Zmodeler sees them but any other program not
Re: Report Import/Export bugs here
@LeeC2202 just send me a zip of your obj in PM.
Re: Report Import/Export bugs here
install latest updates (a green down-arrow in the bottom of zmodeler window).
Re: Report Import/Export bugs here
@Oleg
There is a bug in Gta5, not really related with Zm3, but since you worked with gta5 shaders, you will maybe have an idea how to fix: Do you remember an option for vehicle_lightsemissive and dashemissive, its called "emissiveMultiplier"? Since the last Gta5 update this option was completely disabled, i mean when i change the value of it in Zm, it has no affect, and intensity of lights was much decrased in game. but works on older gta versions. Already contacted Rockstar support but they answer with a copy-pasted bullshit. Its 100% not my fault. The bug was confirmed from another users. Do you maybe know what file inside the game is for this "emissiveMultiplier" option? i thought i can maybe replace it from the old gta version.

Re: Report Import/Export bugs here
these are *.fxc files from original game (were unpacked from non-updated game after installation). If i'm not mistaken, they are from common.rpf->shaders->win32_40_final folder. You can probably put them into update.rpf -> common -> shaders -> win32_40_final folder.

Re: Report Import/Export bugs here
Oleg can you increase the limit of RAM zm3 can use? it crashes on loading big obj
Re: Report Import/Export bugs here
split model into separate files if possible. try different format. zmodeler is 32-bit and limited to 1.8Gb of ram. it uses a lot of geometry-specific data for managing geometry, per-vertex properties, rendering-specific caches etc., so a model file of 100Mb might require much more ram after loading into zmodeler.
Re: Report Import/Export bugs here
@Oleg probably something else controls the light shaders. i already tried to replace the whole shader folder with older versions but no changes..
Re: Report Import/Export bugs here
@Oleg, new shaders came out again with the new "import/export DLC":
Unable to locate material adaptation for shader 0x6e94ccc6. file:RageMaterials.cpp line:296

Re: Report Import/Export bugs here
will be available in next update.
Re: Report Import/Export bugs here
@Oleg, when i import ydr, save z3d, close zm, open zm again some mipmaps of embedded textures becoming 1 instead of 7 for example
Re: Report Import/Export bugs here
Actually, only highest-detail texture MIP was saved (and loaded) as earlier versions of ZModeler were not able to embed textures into an exported files. Will supply a fix in 3.1.4.
Re: Report Import/Export bugs here
@Oleg, ok thanks
Re: Report Import/Export bugs here
Btw, how about shader configuration for "normal_pxm_tnt".
for example, file with this shader located in x64k.rpf\levels\gta5\_citye\scentral_01\sc1_23.rpf\sc1_23_chicken.ydr
how it's looks in the game

also please check spec_decal shader, model with this shader located here x64j.rpf\levels\gta5\_citye\hollywood_01\hw1_01.rpf\hw1_01_decalsb2.ydr
Re: Report Import/Export bugs here
I am unable to import GTA Online character model pieces, such as glasses, shirts, etc. The result is a dummy. Anyone got any ideas as to why I'm getting this instead of the model?
I opened the importer so you can see my options for further diagnostics.

Re: Report Import/Export bugs here
@Oleg, i'm exporting ydd with embedded texture - game crashed
but when exported without embedded texture from the same zm scene - worked fine
so, it's a game bug or not? but some ydd has the embedded textures, forgot to say, it's a map part (some ydd of map object has embedded textures too)
