My ideias:
1 -> A report list of all material and 3D models used in mod...
Ex: In Truck.PSM, zmodeler will export a project report as below:

ID: NAME MATERIAL
0 Bumper bumper.mat
1 Cabin paint01.mat
3 Tank crome.mat
4 Glass glass.mat

or in Truck.PMG

ID: NAME MATERIAL
0 N/A bumper.mat
1 N/A paint01.mat
3 N/A crome.mat
4 N/A glass.mat

2 -> The PSM files just imported with the mats, like in PGM filter. In material editor, a list of all images.

It's most usable for me... Just saying, if it's possible...

PSM filter is very outdated. I doubt it will be available in ZModeler3. Currently PMG for ETS2 is under consideration (I suppose it will be available in ZMod3).

Cool...

The other my ideas:

3 -> Poly count and a tool to reduce it.

4 -> Direct import from 3DS files. Obs:(The models in Blender cannot imported properly. (using Zmod 1.07 and 2.2.5.980.))

Thanks

attach here the smallest problematic .3ds file you have.

Here has a simple example:
In Zmodeler V1.07b, in import, not show nothing.
In Zmodeler V2.X.X.XXX the imported 3DS is different from created by Blender!!!
Maybe I'm doing something wrong too...
My Blender version is 2.59r39307.
My OS is Windows 7 64bits, but I believe it does not interfere...
Importing directly from Zmodeler V2.X.X.XXX, 3D models are different from what's in the blender!!!

Thanks...

Skeletons to RIG and Animations for GTA or something similar

More shapes, per example triangles.

Import SMD files, HL1 and others
Better tool to resize meshes

Im sure what the will be new Icons and design, or not?

This is awesome

I have been thinking about the fact that in Zanoza modeler, you have an example car with an exhaust pipe smoke effect. In zanoza modeler 3 will you have that there too? What about working or flashing lights or just colours or even a working wiper? Animated movements in the 3D window.

early and rough example of TDU2 Audi S3 screenshot from ZModeler3 viewport.

Ah I see, so for those that just want to view their model files in the program can at least add some extras that you'd only get in a game.

I hope a working wiper is included, ofcourse they would have to be modeled out by someone and then they are just loaded from a menu and you place them or how many you want on the window.

Will there be something like consolidate all the textures into one image? :)

Do you really need ZModeler for this? You can make it in Photoshop for example...

Then use UV Remapper to remap affected materials respectively.

Yes i need it for some purpose. I know i can do it in Photoshop and then remap it but wouldn't that be a long process?

Since this functionality is not available in Zmodeler, i have to export my model into Blender, then consolidate in one image and then re-import it in Zmodeler.

Also, if you plan for adding this feature, please add a feature so that we can export the generated single texture file.

you can consolidate textures in photoshop.
then use Edit\Surface\UV Remapper tool to remap UV onto new layout. You don't need to remap objects and their vertices, you just assign "this texture is now laid here, and that one is there", the rest is remapped by zmodeler.

Can you add support for 3D view the mesh will not disappear when zoomed too close?
Like in User View but not reformed and only 3D without the tris or quads.
And is it possible to add flat mapping?
Like in 3DS max, that UV Unwrap thingy or something.
Sometimes it's a huge pain in the butt when trying to map leathers on interiors or tires correctly.

hold shift, right mouse button and move mouse up/down in 3d viewport to change field of view angle. it will allow you to zoom closer when needed without mesh been clipped.

Nice, didn't know about it.
But is it possible to have mesh being deformed?
I mean that weird scale like in user view, but just stay the same as in normal 3D vieuw.

Photoshop isn't free... It's a little bit pricy.

Maybe an turn and soom function, like in SketchUp 8 :?: and an Sketchup filter would be nice.

Well My wish is for Zmodeler to open the new .EDM format of DCS A-10C, and off course the ability to export thous files to .OBJ or .3DS including textures.

Shinigami Out..
