Removal of double sided polygons?

Postby TomcattersVF31 » Sun Dec 10, 2017 1:23 am

Got a question a bit more general than GTA V modding, but here goes nothing:

Someone sent me a quite nice model I'd like to work with. However at first I was baffled how it good so many polys/vertices...

Only to find out that EVERY SINGLE polygon is double sided, thus making the total count 2x larger than it actually is. Now my question is, is there any simple way of removing those? It's a complex model (cockpit) with several different buttons and switches and if I just went it to polygon mode->select->seperated, I would probably not be finished in the next 5 years.

I'd also take suggestions for any other program which can do this, in case ZM3 can't.

there is no automatic way for this in ZModeler. it it wasn't a question of hundred thousands of polygons I would suggest to use "select\separated -> delete" method.

Ah shame, looks like there isn't really any program with a reliable feature in this aspect. Guess I'll to have to skip that then. No way I'm doing it for every single knob and button.

But thanks for the answer!
