HOW DO I MAKE THE CARBON FIBER TEXTURE ON MY CAR LOOK GLOSSY?
Hello guys! Since I have little experience in Zmodeler, may I know how do I make the carbon fiber texture on my car look more glossy?
Re: HOW DO I MAKE THE CARBON FIBER TEXTURE ON MY CAR LOOK GLOSSY?
in general, the glossy effect is set by SPECMAP texture's red and green channels. The red channel is glossiness and green channel is a reflection strength. You can set white texture in SPECMAP slot and take a look whether it matches your needs or not.

Hello! Is that you mean changing the specmap texture to red?
Re: HOW DO I MAKE THE CARBON FIBER TEXTURE ON MY CAR LOOK GLOSSY?
specmap texture's color channels are used for different purpose. texture's red channel is glossiness, green channel is a reflection strength. So, if you put, say, red texture (RGB 255, 0, 0) it will give max glossiness with zero environment reflection. If you put dark-orange texture (RGB 40, 40, 0), it will give low glossiness and low environment reflection. The idea is that you can use texture to specify how matte/glossy and dull/reflective the surface is on the same material using just the specular texture.
