How to create a Vanilla Car Design?

Post by Jayk0b »

My Goal i am trying to achieve:

- Take any car from GTA V i want "example the Benefactor Dubsta"
- Take the Dubsta and create a template (reference picture from Arma 3 Vehicle, The mod creator uploaded the car with the template) Image
- Then create a skin (reference picture 2 a skin i made) Image
- Bring the finished Skin ONTO the Car to use in GTA V

How to:

- Import the Vehicle (i think ive already done that step) Image
Image

- create my own template of the vehicle to use in Photoshop. (a 2D png with a grid, thats how most templates look like)
- how to load it to the vehicle to check if the skins looks like wanted
- Load it to gta / make a file thats usable to load on a "example fiveM" Server.

Final words:
i know its much to ask for a guide how to do it, ive watched plenty of tutorials but i think im doing something wrong because it never works, the template when i render the UVMap to create the mesh template is > green colored and mesh visible > the mesh is completly out of order, overlaps and does not fit in the UV MAP layer > glitches out and looks like the car exploded or something.

 thx
