Enviroment failure?

Postby SimenGH » Thu Nov 30, 2017 10:02 am

Hello. I am pretty new to zmodeler and I have a problem which i cant seem to solve. I have something that looks to me like a enviroment problem? Console shows no errors what so ever. Anybody with some knowledge who could be able to help?

You can see in the pictures what i mean on the "Sties" folder and the "sticker" on the window. When i am far away it shows this buggy rainbow texture and when i zoom in it looks like normal. Any help appreciated. Thanks! :)

EDIT: Also the poppy and the sties folder is very "shiny". Why is that?

the texture you use should be saved with "mip levels" (mip maps). These are lower-resolution versions of texture that game uses when draws your texture from a distance.

The shiny effect is caused by per-vertex color on a geometry. By default, it is white and assumed as super-shiny. default game models use range of grey colors, mostly around RGB 100,100,100 to RGB 200,200,200. You can paint per-vertex color with Surface\Paint tools. When coming to a bigger mods, you might get interested in this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T5Q7428h9AY
