Black object after mirroring

Black object after mirroring

Hi There,

I had a problem with this right driving car, and i tried to mirror the interior to make it left driving car.
after successful mirroring. the texture still black even remap it!
how i can fix this?

Do not recalculate normals, because the vertex could be detached, and all the vertex oriented in a certain direction that Surface/Normals/ Smooth could not put in the same direction. ;)

lol, why ? after flip just go to vertex mode, select all, flip, and all normals will be corrected :D

not exactly. modify\flip on vertices model will invert normals on all axes (x,y and z), while mirrored object got normals pointing in wrong direction on just one of axes.

very strange, I always do it with mirrored parts, and in a game, as in ZM they look correctly. :shock:

well, I could be wrong on this, as we are talking about zmod2 here. zmod3 has a slightly different behavior and does not require do flip/mirror vertices or anything like that.

oh, in zm3 it's working strange... for me still easier to do everything in zm2. i was tallking about zm2. p.s please check my post in this topic viewtopic.php?f=31&t=7360&start=1000
