hello
when i model a car in 3dsmax everything looks fine including the wheels location.
but when i export as .3ds it and place it in zmodeler3 it looks like this
so the window wipers are at a strange position and the wheels are at a strange position
why is that?

use Tools Reset X-Form ni 3dsmax before export.

try dis-arranging hierarchy in 3dsmax before export, so all objects are in a single list, no child-parent relations. once you load this into zmod, you can re-arrange the hierarchy.

nope. this is impossible to happen on a single object. this object is probably a group. ungroup it.

try select all, then Display \ local axes \ [mode = both, keep object = off]\ reset to world -> click on any of selected objects.

check object properties, if any object exceeds 64K vertices limit, you have to chop it to smaller objects before exporting.

can you post a closer shot, as I can't see details on a screenshot you've posted above.
