Quick help from experienced owners

Post by ABO-KASER »

Hello

I Mohammed of Saudi Arabia designer 3D
I designed two cars of Honda Accord Type 2014
And you design a Chevrolet Caprice Royal 2006

Photos of models

I want to protect the stereotactic method so that no one can modify it
Like some models appear chipped and I can not modify them

  I want a quick response
In order to protect my designs from the removal of human rights

Hello.

I'm not sure I understand you clearly, but I guess you want to protect your 3D work from being changed by anyone, correct? This is a sort of a problem if you wish to make them available for download. Even if you export them into some game format (e.g. for GTA:4, or Test Drive Unlimited, or any other), and pick "Lock model" option, the game-format model file will be vulnerable for unauthorized changes. In most of cases "Locking" a model will prevent a game-model file to be loaded into ZModeler, but it's still possible to load game-format model into some other tools or convertors. If I'm not mistaken, GTA:4 is currently the most reliable locking, but it's still possible to rip models directly from the game or from any viewers like OpenIV.

So, answering to your question: no, it's impossible to share your 3D artwork and keep it protected at the same time.

your model is probably exceeding the vertices count limit per material. create a copy of material (the one that uses the body and that does not appear properly); then select left half faces that use this material (use Select->By Material -> ... then deselect right half in front view) and assign onto a copied material. Thus, you will have two identical materials and your model use less polygons/vertices on each of them. I don't remember any other specific solution for GTA:SA as it was ages ago when I was working on this plugin, so I'm not very aware about modding tricks and limitation.

I've said above already, that once you release a model for the game, it is editable. some easy some are not, but it's possible to get your model for editing.

Ok, so you show me someone else car loaded into ZModeler and some body panels are missing and a wrong texture appears on some mesh fragments, correct? (this is not a watermark or holography protection, this is a wrong texture applied to the model). And you want your model to be protected the same way: so if someone will try to load it, he will miss some parts and probably wrong texture placement will occur?

To be honest, I have no idea how to do this. At least this certainly was not made with ZModeler export.
