Re: Ped Model Messed Up
If I"m not mistaken, the game drops to fallback/dummy ped model when some ped components are missing in your .ydd file. For example, metadata tells the game certain components are available, but your .ydd file has no these components. It is strongly advised to retain ALL components of original...

Cloth detail bump map appears on model
Title says all. I kanged materials from a Debra ped model for a custom ped I converted but while the materials show up mostly fine ingame, getting closer to the character reveals what appears to be a detail bump map of some sort. Is there a way to get rid of it somehow without using a blank bump map...

Re: Zmodler under Linux
There's a Blender plugin for GTA V, but as of now it's limited to ped model editing.

Re: Flood weighting vertices?
Thanks, but how do I use the Pick Vertex tool? Whenever I pick vertices, nothing shows up in the bone/value table.Oleg wrote:An update generally addressing the feature you've suggested is available.

Re: Scene setup. Hierarchy. LODs. Mesh properties.
Additionally, you can assign LOD ranges to let the game know the maximum distance for respective LODs. These ranges are assigned as a user-defined property LODs on a root dummy node of your model and contains comma-separated distance values for LODs starting from the ultra-high. For example, the mu...

Unknown type in Hierarchy
Seems like certain meshes error out like this on import:
Are you going to fix it some time? I'd like to rip and/or mod certain characters and/or vehicles from the game.

Here's a brief demo of what I'm suggesting:Oleg wrote:May you send me a link to a video (and time code) where the desired behavior is shown (in 3dsmax, maya and/or other packages)?

Flood weighting vertices?
Wonder if you could implement a feature wherein you can flood a group of selected vertices with a specific weight rather than try to paint every nook and cranny of the object being rigged. Maybe I've missed it here, but is there such a feature like with most other 3D modelling packages?

I see, didn't notice that one lol.Oleg wrote:done.
In general, you need to specify your forum username in ZModeler account on "Settings" page. Once you link your forum account name with zmodeler web account name, you will gain access to all forum sections.

Unable to post in certain subforums
So I've bought a licence lately but for some reason I don't have the privileges to post on certain forums like the general discussion and Watch Dogs boards. Can anyone fix this?

OK, but is this what you meant?Oleg wrote:no, there is no any other solution for this particular issue.
I made duplicates of each material and sliced my model up to more manageable chunks.

Re: Can not compact blend mesh on material
mesh compacting requires vertices rearranging across entire geometry with a descent set of limitations and constrains that could cause this process to fail. In attempt to avoid it, you should have fewer polygons that use one material. For example, if your entire model uses this material, you can cr...

Can not compact blend mesh on material
Hmm, for some reason ZM3 glitched out on me recently with this: https://i.imgur.com/BSNiq1B.png Steps to reproduce: • Extract franca.sds using SDS Tool GUI • Create franca.txt in franca folder, rename it as franca.mafia and import it in Zmodeler as usual • Edit or perhaps do nothing at all • Export ...
