what does "Messaging bar" say when you export?
The most common mistake is to export to a file named different than the scene hierarchy element to start export from. For example, if your scene hierarchy starts with "buffalo2" (which has "chassis" as a child and so on), then you can export into a file named "buffalo2.yft" and you can't export to, say, "mymodel.yft".
